Bought me a Elos magnesium test kit today and I cant seem to get a color change using Reagent D it just stays a violet green color, i've tried twice and both times got as high as 30 drops and nothing. maybe my mg is too low? This happen with anyone else here?

I just received a large finger leather yesterday, it came attached to some rubble rock. Overnight its detached itself from the rock, is that normal? Or it just didn't like the position it was in? Should i just leave it be? Here are a couple pics.
