Started up a new tank yesterday. RO/DI.. Zero TDS. Mixed up my RC a cup at a time in the sump as the Mag7 circulated through the 58g system. Dry sand added. 14 hrs later it looks like this... alt=""> alt=""> Anyone have this happen?

What would you consider the best? I'm a little restricted on footprint, but please chime in if you love yours.

Ritteri? Trunk gets lighter towards a whitish foot. Also has a band of light colored spots high up on its trunk.

I primarily use Reef Crystals (RS Coral Pro if/when on sale) and test calcium & dKh regularly. 10% WC's done bi-weekly. I will be getting to a point of Doseing 2 part soon because of Calcium loss in 2 week period. Maybe Kalk. Should I be testing Mg as well? I know they all work in balance...

I've been trying to help my Reefing Buddy Id this strange Yellow ... algae?? It's similar to cyano, but yellow. Any one seen this before? He runs Evolution 20K LEDs. We turned off the "Blues" for these pics. The pics show it alot more green.. but it's really yellow. Hard to get the right color...
