D dahenley May 11, 2012 #6 If the ports are on top of the drum, it doesn't matter. If the go in the side, then the bottom is the input. The lowest is always the input. That way you never end up with a bubble and prevents freezing within

D dahenley May 11, 2012 #7 Some say if you take the outside cover off. And if its used, I would clean the fan and coils with air while your in there. It will help it cool better. Plus you can ensure the fan spins freely.
