PJ's 265 Tank Build

This is going to look great. You are doing a top notch build. Can't wait to see your comparison of the Led's vs your experience with MH and if the canopy looks as good as the stand your tank is gonna be great!
 
My LEDs showed up today. Everything is well packed as you can see and was missing a fan but a quick email and they said they were going to send another my way. Today I bought my wood for my canopy build. Also picked up some new tools. I don't have the fancy software to make cad drawings so I'm doing it old school. Ruler and pencil. I love my kreg jig. That is one awesome tool. I think I went kreg jig crazy.

Got everything fitting now I have to work on the molding.

Dry fit looks good. I had to hold it or it was going to fall.

Excellent work on the canopy! That looks really nice. Your Led's look sharp as well. Looking forward to your review of the product and the completion of the the hood.

Playing with the par meter today. I had not put my optics on my LEDs yet do I get readings with optics and without. I was pretty disappointed with the before s but once the optics were on look out. I brought my some home some fish today. He is 6 and of my 3 sons seems the most into this goby as I am. I went to petco and bought 5 yellow Molly's. we acclimated them slowly over night.

I fed them this morning to make sure they were doing ok and they ate like champs. I released them shortly after that and my hawk fish thought it was breakfast time.

But they all seem to be doing great. When I tell you my son was excited he was excited. I think he slept all night thinking about it. When I got up this morning I found him in the tank room sleeping that to the acclimation bucket.
 
Did you ever get your par numbers with and without optics'. I just put some on and I can tell the sand bed is brighter.

Yes I did. Optics make the world of difference. The look my sanded from 200 in spots to 800+. My corals respond a lot more now too.
