Got my live sand and rock on Friday the 8th.
As it had been in shipping for 3 days I just put it into the tank. I will clean off the dead macro algae and sponge on Monday.
The rock (30 lbs) has 2 brain corals, and a few patches of what I think are a Palvona species of coral. I don't know much about ID'ing corals (unfortunately the larger brain coral was partially crushed in shipping. Parts of it appear to be healthy though)
There are some other patches that could be some kind of incrusting coral, but I am not sure. After I clean it I will try to get some decent photos so some one can educate me as to what they are.
There are also around 5 Turkey Wing clams and an anemone. I really opens up more after the lights are out and it's tentacles are a red color.(not sure what kind it is as I first saw it this evening)
Of course I have no Idea what else is lurking in the rock.
I will post Photos after the rock is cleaned as it looks a little ragged with the various Macro-algae chopped up on it.
