updates? said:I'm painting the stand tonight and installing the new door knobs tomorrow after the paint dries. I'll be sure to post pictures. I have to buy a bulkhead online before I plumb it.
I'm hoping I'll have water in it inside 4 weeks...
I just ordered my reefbreeders led and I am pretty excited. [smilie=rofl.gif] [smilie=itwasntme.gif] [smilie=rofl.gif] said:I got my light in yesterday afternoon. It's certainly looks great. I can't wait to hang it over this tank. Painting the stand has been delayed, but should happen this weekend hopefully.
After seeing the before and after pics of your stand said:Thanks for looking! I'm not much of a handyman, so finding something to re-purpose as a stand was a "no brainer". I think it went well. I plumbed it and filled it with new saltwater and old rock from my 10 gallon. I also added 20 lbs of Caribsea live sand. The tank is super cloudy so I'll post pics when it clears up. I also think I'll need a ball valve for the drain because it's mighty "gurgly". Way too loud for the living room.

You have two drains or just one? If two make it a herbie style overflow with the ball valve

Just one drain Pampee. Will installing a ball valve on the drain pipe allow me to reduce "gurgle"? said:It should reduce the gurgle if not put the valve on the return side and slow down the flow
