I would invest in a leak sensor with email or text notifications. Now that you cut the wood floor now any leaks will now go straight under your wood floors.

I have my tank on top of the wood floors and since the wood floor pieces interlock it kind of forms a slight barrier for water to get underneath the floor.
So I can wipe up with a towel.

You having your tank feet so low you can't get under neath the stand to wipe things up. I have mine raised 3" off the floor so can wipe up and spills

It was laminate floor and $1 per sqft anyway. If water gets underneath it I wont care as long as my tank survives. lol. I can replace the floor in that room for a couple hundred dollars.

Picking out my sump at DNA.... Tideline 48'. Wanted a 60" sump but just didnt end up going that route.

An a skimmer from Elos.... I got it on super duper sale but its only rated for a light bi load to 400 gallons. Basically I got it because it was cheap and looked nice with all my plumbing plans. Still debating. it is a Diable DCRS 200. I could go with a Octopus 5000 in sump which wouldnt look as nice but be rated much higher.

A couple plumbing pics w and w/o skimmer. As you can see with it I have very little room for other things.
I might go with the Octopus 5000 INT. What is your vote?

Looking great! Is that a one way check valve above the Reeflo pump? said:
Yup, I had to go sideways with the ball valve to get the check value in under the height I had to work with.... which means the return lines drop a few inches before gonig back up.

No matter how much space ya got, you always could use more.

I have a T under the check value to feed the skimmer and other reactors later on. I also have a T above it that I will add a valve I can open to create a siphon and drain water for manual water changes.

Great build!! Nice job on plumbing and great selection of equipment! said:
Get some slabs (real reef rocks) and I'm not sure if you plan on running biopellets.

Think my plumbing is finally (almost) complete. I say almost because is it ever really done? I've left of places for additions down the road. Starting to fill her up.

Is that the height your keeping the mh fixtures or are you just testing the fixtures?

Just a quick thought, is there any issue with keeping my lights like that I wonder?
