Dallas North Aquarium has their annual sale this Saturday, April 21st.

50% off all livestock.

I guess it's that fun time again.
 
Never been , I guess there's a first time for everything. I heard about there sales and the lines. Don't know if I want my first expirence to be one of there sales. see you guys on Saturday.
 
One thing they don't tell you is "all" the livestock is included in the sale. If the line is too long to get into the livestock room, start looking at the display tanks. You can buy it with no waiting in line. I got a couple of awesome leathers at 50% off out of the display tanks.
 
i went last year..right when i walked in when they said hour wait to look at the fish and hour wait for checkout...i was out of there.
 
It's actually a Brazilian Flameback that they have. Very pretty fish, African Flameback is on my fish list but I'd take the Brazilian since they closely resemble each other. We'll see!!
 
I went by there this afternoon and they did have a lot of stuff, though not a lot of stuff I would want. They had been having some nice acros lately but they didn't have much today. I wonder if they will get anything in on Friday?

I did notice a few things that seemed really expensive even for them. They wanted $190 for a juv chevron tang. At 50% that would put it at the price I'm used to seeing them. Nothing else really jumped out at me, other than the $799 ricordia rock, so maybe chevrons have really jumped up the last few months.

My son wants some things for his new 12gal nano freshwater tank so I plan to go, just not sure what time.
 
is dfwmas going to have flyers at the sale tomorrow...be good way to get our club's name out there to saltwater hobbyists

I was there today and unless they moved it, the rock is gone. There was lots of customers in there today and the sales people new most of them by name, sounds like they let there regulars buy a day early so they do not have to fight the crowds.

I went to the sale, man it was fun.

They had a tent setup outside and were grilling. The Ticket was there broadcasting and raffling off a few rangers tickets. Instead of waiting in line you were given a number so that way you were free to mill around until you could go in. A fish room escort took car of all of your purchases. You were right, you could buy from their display tanks as well! crazy.
They had a truckload of tanks sitting in the parking lot - stands as well. $1 over invoice

Anyone make any exciting purchases?
