120 gallon DAS, Gone forever

I think they hitch-hiked in on a piece of coral. They're red and like to gather together, but every now and then you get one crawling across the glass. Best thing to do, if you see one, is look real closely at your corals. My frogspawn was covered in them once I looked closely. Took maybe two weeks for the wrasse to destroy them all.

Where did you get your "no name" leds? Have they been growing your corals well? Tank looks great. Love the rock wall background.

Thanks :)

I got the leds from local member MJandTom. I havent had them long enough to say how much they have impacted growth, but everything opens up and seems happy.

Some updated but still out of date photos. Bought an MP40 about 3 weeks ago, and Im loving it.

While in Montreal, my tank decided to leak. I was lucky enough to have Steve and Fatwrasse come out and break the tank down. By my estimates, the tank leaked ~30 gallons by the time anyone was able to get to it, based on what I was told where the water level had dropped.

Here is an extremely bad photo of where it leaked from. It decided to leak behind the overflow between the back wall and bottom pane of glass. It seems like it was the rock wall that caused the silicone to give.

Here is where some of my fish are living for the time being. My clowns, wrasse, dottyback, and goby werent able to be housed by anyone. Fish dont seem to mind.

The wife and I decided to go ahead and replace the flooring. The previous owner had used the incorrect glue to put down linoleum, so I had to rent a floor polisher and a diamabrush attachment to take up all the goop. We previously had carpet, so the gunk on the slab didnt really matter. You have to keep water on the floor or you risk ruining the diamond inserts, so it makes an awful mess.

Once I finish laying tile, I'll order another tank. I'm going to stay with a 120, and I think I've settled on getting a planet aquariums with an external overflow.... no rock wall this time.

You might want to not put tile in the exact spot of the tank's stand, letting it be flat on the home's slab. Give yourself a little space to wiggle, and use trim to fill the gap.
