I was at DNA yesterday and started talking with the owner about the tanks and how they treat the fish. He informed me they keep salinity around 1.020 as well as always running .02 copper in all fish only tanks. This is another reason not to use the water your items come in.

Sent from pay phone in the airport.

Yes, I have always heard to aclimate using water from your tank but then don't pour the water into your tank that contains any of the water that your fish come through. Use a net to get the fish out of the aclimiation water to put them in your tank.

I'm sure most of you don't know either, but DNA and I'm assuming others use commercial RODI systems. It's posted on their sign for water - but they have 9 tds.

Further, on the topic of RODI ... if your city gets its water from City of Dallas (I know Irving and Grapevine do), YOU HAVE CHLORAMINES in your water.
