Please help me Silence my Overflow!

My wife says my tank is to loud. Which one of these methods works the best for a 55 gal tank?

I use the Hofer and once it is tuned you will hav eto check it to make sure it is flowing as it cuts the noise that much. Easy to make also but I am running an overflow box on my tank. Is your tank RR or overflow?
 
If you look half way down on my build thread you can see the durso I made I went 1" and before the first 45 I went 1 1/2" it really cuts down the sound. I also posted a video you hear how quiet the plumbing is

Last night I put a Durso Standpipe on my tank. WOW BIG Noise diffrance. The wife kept asking it the tank running.
