Need some input. - Water change drain

[I have the opportunity to plumb up a drain to the tank that would tie into a sink drain for water changes. I was wondering where to tie the drain into, I thought about plumbing into the return pump with a ball valve, but this would only pump out about 12 gallons( capacity of the return section of the sump). I thought about trying to tie it into one of the drains from the overflow, but really it would only drain until the return pump drained the return section draining about 12 gallons again. I would like to see some pics of some setups or some ideas how I could get about 30 gallons drained at a time.

Thanks in advance.]

[I used a 1.5" drain with a ball valve that was teed of my closed loop inlet to run my water change waste water down my sink drain.

[Thanks for the pics David! I unfortuantly will not have a another hole in the tank for a drain that is not in the overflow. I think I found an alternative over at RC
