Need advice removing a Carpet Anemone

Have anyone experience taking a carpet anemone out of the tank? I got this from a member last week and now trying to get him out of my tank. I believed he is stuck to the bottom of the glass and my sand bed is at least 7 inches. Would a rubber spatula be an idea tool to use? The previous owner move him from wearing a rubber glove and slowly peeling him up from the bottom of it. I would do that but I dont think my hand will reach that low since my tank is deep. So any advices are welcome.
 
Mission Accomplished!! I used a long kent marine algae scrapper and dig the sand around him and just push slowly till he is loose. Then I scoop him in the net and left it there and the 2 clown came in and "BAM" gotcha!! [smilie=smile.gif]
