Feedback on Hanna Ca & Alk Checkers?

I love the Hanna Phosphate checker that I have and the Hanna digital refractometer I picked up. I am thinking about getting their Alk and Ca checkers but wanted to see if anyone has one or has used one. If you have, how do you like it compared to other methods of testing in terms of consistency, ease of use, and time needed to perform the tests?

I have not used the Ca tester but when it first came out i read early reviews and they were not good. have to use lab grade water no RODI water, and it still was hard to replicate the same result over and over. I use the alk checker and the phosphorus (have to use a calculation to turn it into phosphate) which is the UL reader for phosphate. and they are quick and easy to use, as well as repeatable.

The alk checker is the best IMO. The calcium works great and I get the same results as my API test, it is a bit more work though. Your ro/di Tds must be 0 or test is inaccurate.

I found directions for the Ca and think I'll stick with what I am using. The Alk tester looks promising so I think I'll give that a shot. Now if someone would just make an easy to use digital Mg checker I'd be all set!

Is this one not an easy one to use?

the range isnt high enough

Calcium 0 to 400 mg/L (ppm)
Magnesium 0 to 150 mg/L (ppm)

Yeah, I saw that. I sent them an e-mail anyway to see what options they have and gave them the ranges I'm looking for.
