Blue water camera filter

I picked up this go pro blue water camera filter a while back on a clearance rack and finally tried it tonight. The results impressed me. I'm going to try this out some more this week when only the blue lights are on. Anyone ever used something like this before?View attachment 1326The first photo is without the filter and the second is with it held over the lens of my Galaxy S7.This is the filter: https://shop.gopro.com/accessories-2/blue-water-snorkel-filter-hero5-black/AACDR-001.html

You can see it's better, but... Are you pressing the filter against the lens of your camera so no blue light bleeds in around the sides?  Try shading the lens with your hand somewhat, or cover the flooding light with a sheet of cardboard so the only light it gets is through the glass.  I just posted an example of a shot I took in this same Reef Discussion forum an hour ago. http://www.dfwmas.org/community/general-discussion/iphone-pictures/#post-289052
