You talked about tight tolerances too, and having to make sure everything is cut just right. No way I would trust glass cages to do that. I don't have any first hand exprience with them but a quick search on RC will give you an idea of their QC work.
 
So I take it you are assembling this tank inside the fish room?

I've ordered a 96x24 starphire pane from GC, was spot on and the cheapest I could find, including the 100 or so for delivery. Keep in mind I wasn't asking for anything too custom, but I did get what I asked for. I've also had many of their tanks over the years w/o incident nor complaint.

Can't wait to see this come together!

good luck i tried to order glass panes from gc and glass never was sent during the drop shipments to Dallas area twice. Better ask for guarantee date and have a backup plan in place

Just read this on Reefbuilders glasscages uses ups and ups DOESN'T insure glass so might want to talk to them about shipping
