Zoa nuke

Well, this week has not been good for my 150. It began well, with a great deal on a very juvenile Regal Angel, who did very well for a few days. Then, he was crushed by a hermit crab induced rock slide. [smilie=crying.gif] (which should not have happened, this dude really did his best and found teh right leverage point...)
Immediately after, strange things began to happen. My Atlantic Blue Tang stopped sleeping and got stress spots every night. 3 Royal Gramma died, all at the same time, no marks or injuries, not even faded colors. Then both jawfish (who've been blind for the last 5 months) died, followed by an Atlantic Pygmy Cherub Angel.

I thought it was water quality. Twas not the main issue.

Turned out that when the rock slide happened a pair zoanthid colonies were damaged, as were some mushrooms. They let go a bunch of toxins which lead to the deaths. It also explained the tingle in my hand....
