Which dosing chemical is which? I mixed them up...

I was moving things around on my tank last night and mixed up my dosing pumps and chemicals.
I have alk, mag and calcium (all from BRS).
I know which one is the alk, but which one is calcium and which one is magnesium? Any way to tell?

Please help!

Thanks

Use a ca test kit.... ca should be really high

Tried that... It turns blue before I add the last part. Using Red Sea test kit.
Tried to test mag, it never turned blue.
One interesting detail, on the cal and mag test, one sample was precipitate. It wouldn't mix well.
Would that identify as calcium? That's my guess...
I would just dump and start over, but it was the last of my mixes

Yeah if you are using a RSP Mg test kit i would assume the one that precipitates is Ca as that is what one of the reagents is supposed to do.

eye drop into a glass of saltwater, alk will cloud up.

fill glass up with other two... mg will have a slight amber cast to it and cal will be clear. Mg also appears to be thicker fluid, with a bit of viscosity to it.

Use your refractometer I would think mg would be higher of the two

buy of three of the same kits and then you will be able to tell which is which and have plenty of test kits!
