In deep water about 100 miles from Galveston, Texas' Flower Garden Banks is home to some of the healthiest coral communities in the world.
September's monthly club meeting will feature Kelly Drinnen of NOAA Federal as guest speaker, but for those of you interested in advance, here is some amazing reading.

That should be interesting.
 
I have been scuba diving on the Flower Gardens many times over the last 20 years.
 
Used the Fling/Spree liveaboards, always enjoyed it :)
