sun coral vs. coraline

Is there an easy way to get coraline algae off of a sun coral? Mine has become so encrusted that the polyps are starting to have issues emerging.

Maybe more shade to kick back the coraline?

Will give that a try... Wasn't aware that Coraline was photosynthetic as well.

Coralline grows best in shaded areas. It sounds like your suncoral isn't getting nearly enough food. If it is well fed, it will be completely tissued out. Instead it sounds like the polyps are deeply retracted and the skeletal section is exposed to the point coralline has attached.

The best solution is to feed the heck out of your suncorals for now.
