Suggestions...tank issues

I was out of the country for several months and i just returned home a few days ago. I desided to do a large water change and cleanout all the filters. I know better than this but i guess i wasnt thinking. Doing this caused my tank parameters to be out of wack. I dont have much in the tank but today the few snails in the tank are done.

The real problem is that i just had a shippment of 300 snails and crabs plus a few other inverts arrive today. Will i be fine with placing these guys in a "Q'tank" with new salt water until my tank cycles through? If i place them in the main tank they will be done for sure, the crabs may be ok but the snail will not. Right now they are sittin the box they were shipped in :(
 
If you keep an eye on the params of the qt tank, and it's not so tiny as to be a death box for that many critters, I think you'd be okay for a bit.. if they're jammed that close together though, expect some crabs to snack on some snails.
