Star polyps - When shipped do they not come out?

[I ordered a large star polyps rock it was covered in coraline and had little bumps on it but only about 2 polyps will come out the rest look like little bumps were they had previsly been on there but covered in coriline, they said they should come out in 2 to 3 weeks. Is this true? ???]
 
[Don't worry, the "coraline w/ bumps" that you see are the star polyps. When they are in it looks like a purple mat, but when they are out you cannot see anything at all. IMHO green star polyps are more picky than the brown ones and seem to take longer to adjust to the new environment. They will start peeking out in a few days, but it may take longer for all of them to come out.

Just a bit of info, star polyps grow like crazy, so make sure you give them lots of room. Heck, we have had some grow over a large bubble algea! Actually I didn't mind that. :D

[do you get rid of Green bubble algea? I was told emerald crabs would do it but I have had two of them and they haven't touched it yet!]
