Sps & softies in same tank:

[Thoughts? I am doing this. I've been told this is the reason my SPS is not taking off. Toxins to much for SPS? Must I have a CALC reactor, or can dosing B-Ionic provide enough calcium to the water?

Question #2:
Can I run SPS and frogspan/hammer/torch in the same tank and everyone be happy and productive? Or will toxins make the SPS mad?

Ideally I would like to run more sps, but I still would like to have a frogspan/hammer/torch. The Xina and Anthelia is going.

Thanks,
Jason]

[I had a sucessful mixed tank. I never had any problems with growth of any coral due to some type of toxins. Post your tank info and maybe we can find an alternative reason for your SPS woes.
Light cycle?
Nitrate, Ca, pH, Alk, phosphate, 24 hr temp swings?
Water movement?
Light type and distance from the water?
Types of algea?]
