Sps slowing receding for about a month or so

[One of my sps frags that I have had for about year,
fell over into my hammer.
It's been slowly receding from the base for the past
month after it fell on it.

Is there any hope, or just leave it alone?

The last time I fragged another piece the fell in,
it just kept bleaching, this one is not bleaching per say,
but it's slowly receding. :so sad:]

[I would keep a close eye on the frag and the tank's water chemistry. I personally only frag as a last resort.]

[It's been slowly receding for the past month or so,
I don't remember exactly when it fell on the hammer.

It was fully encrusted on the rock I had it mounted on.
There are two frags on the single rock. It's been slowing
receding from the base of the rock up.]

[If it has been receding for a month, it must be pretty slow or those frags are huge. After this amount of time, I would frag the good part you have left and try to save it. Make sure you cut it way above the bad part. I am not sure though that the problem is entirely the fact it fell into the hammer. Going on for this long would seem to point to other problems. Granted the hammmer did not do it any good, but that should have cleared up before this. And if it had been a really bad sting from the hammer it would have rtn'd in days.]

[well, I think the recession is increasing.
I don't have very much super glue to frag with right now.

:taz: :very angry:

I'm might be begging someone for a sps frag soon.]

[Rapid Tissue Narcosis.. (Spelling is wrong im sure) Just frag and save what you can, Man i hope all works out. Im sure if it is RTN its to the point of not recovering. :so sad: . Cani hear some of your Tank specs?

Best of luck
Travis]

[Okay, I fragged a few pieces from the acropora.
The remaining pieces is bleaching now,
should I remove it and throw it away or just
leave it and use the rock later? :very sad:]

[You can do either. I usually throw any skeleton mass in my sump as LR filtration. Pods can live and breed in the skeleton.

I even take chucks and mount frags on them.]
