sponges

I can't get a good picture of them but, I was adding some more rock today and I put my GSP in with the side that is normally at the back facing forward. There are small bright yellow clumps scattered on it. They appear to be porous, could this be sponges I haven't heard of anything else that fits that description. hoopsdaddy did you have any sponges in your tank? I will try to get a photo and post it.

Yes I have some in my tank. They stay small and on the underside of rocks and caves. Harmless, at least they have been for almost a decade.

I figured they were sponges had not seen them as they were on the side of the rock away from the front of the tank. They are growing on the flesh of the GSP not on the rock though. Too bad they stay small I was looking into getting a sponge or two for the tank.
Looks like there was lot on that rock, GSP, snails, sea stars, sponge and 3 other types of polyps, not to mention microscopic stuff I can't see.
