3 days ago I discovered my Emerald Crab clinging to the bottom of a ledge just above the sand. He had been dismembered, only having a single small claw and a single leg left on the same side. Somehow he keeps himself tight to the bottom of teh rock ledge. He has also been managing to eat and stay alive!
Yesterday I found some Scarlet Hermitcrab legs discarded on the sand. Not unusual when they molt... but these were in tiny pieces, and then I found their former owner, who now only has 2 legs and a single claw.
This morning I noticed one of my large Porcelian Crabs is missing a claw.
I've seen some pretty big honkin' Bristle type worms in the tank, and I know one went after my Serpent Star (I seen it!), but I'm thinking I must have a small Mantis Shrimp now. Several weeks ago I glimpsed something pop down into a hole that had may have been a very very very small one, but I couldn't be sure, nor have I seen it again.
Anyone have a small trap I could borrow?
