C chappy Premium Member Feb 3, 2014 #1 we set up a red sea max with a less than 1inch sand bed.it is the black sand that's a little bit big (compared to fine white sand)any how would it be ok to get nasarious snails to keep the sand bed a little cleaner? thanks in advance

M Mike M Feb 4, 2014 #3 I don't use the same sand but use Tropic Eden Reeflakes that are little larger grain size and the nassarius snails seem to do fine in that.
