Snail ID please

just got back from SPI found a few of these snails and brought some back, wondering if they will be ok in the reef tank or should they go in other tank?
 
Oh wait SPI? South padre island? I believe this is called a rock snail or Florida rock snail. Still a carnivorous snail you don't want in your tank. I collected some like this in Galveston. They can eat a whole piece of krill at once. I used them to feed my large mantis shrimp.
 
There is a post here saying not to put any gulf coast snails in your tank as a hard lesson learned. I forget which thread though.
