Skimmer stopped making foam

I just did a water change and my skimmer seems to have stopped making any foam. Before it was fine, now it acts like the air draw is clogged. Checked everything and its all clear. It's a reef octopus NWB-110. I got it for Christmas but its already broken in. Any ideas?

Blow air in the air draw tube and see what it does.

When I tried that, all the air came out the front of the pump.

Normally the area above the water line is all foam.

Hmm I'll let it run like this tonight, and if its still not right, I guess back to DNA it goes....

You can see there is absolutely zero foam.

My old skimmer never did this, but we will find out!

Check the pump intake. I found a stomatella in mine that caused this. Disassemble the whole front of the pump and clean it.

Apprently this skimmer is a bit different than my old on. It has resumed normal skimming! Next time I will wait a bit before "freaking out". lol.

If I do a wc from the sump and put the new water in the sump it takes couple hours for the bubbles to start foaming.
