Skimmer Dimensions

I am designing a larger sump for my system and need a little input on real life skimmer dimensions, so I can properly size my skimmer section.

I will be using an ASM G-4X in the sump as a second skimmer. Does anyone know what the actual dimensions (Length and Width) is for this skimmer. Everything online says 13x14 footprint. I am hoping it is a little smaller than that. 13x14 will put a strain on my current draft sump design.
 
i have one, yea the footprint is that size if u measure from skimmer body to the pump. the area i have for it, i believe its 16"x17" just so i can have some extra room...
 
yea, if they say 13"X14" on the net, best believe your gonna need more space than that. More like 15"X17" at least.
 
Thanks for the info. I think I will go with 17" wide and the length wont be a problem. Not quite what I wanted, but it will definately work.
