Edit:
So after reading over this again, do you think it is possible to cause your fish to become infected by Marine Velvet due to restacking rock after it collapses? I am wondering this now because cause I have heard that dinoflagellates can be kicked up when rearranging rocks and disturbing the sand bed.
Here is a pic of one of the fish I lost after having to redo all my rock work after a snail went rogue and destroyed a lot of my stuff.

I have not seen this in my pred tank. I have true coral molester and several bulldozer that can and have moved 8+ lb rocks.
Confirmed cases of Velvet that I've seen unfortunately came from a LFS with a "same day" turn around of fish stock from the wholesale market at DFW.
