Rio 2500 as a return pump on 10 gallon sump

Hi guys,
Just letting you know that I have it setup and working fine for now. I think the overflow is not draining it any more than 300 gph and I have teed off about less than half of the return and I did have microbubbles but have been able to adjust it so that it is very very minimal now. ( happy about that but I had to accept it anyway)

Will post pics. But to be honest, the flow to the tank is not as much as I thought it would be because of the tee.

I think a bit more could be acheived.

Hopefully the pump is not going to fail. That is my only concern in the long run for now. As mentioned, i will be upgrading this in about 4 months so the small size should not be an issue any more.

Thanks very much again.

Vinay

The flow in your display tank should not come from your return pump, so if you want more flow you should be using powerheads to do that.

Glad things are working for you.
