Ricordia's "dissolving"??? White star fish appearing

Just noticed that my beautiful ricordia rock that was covered has a huge spot that just dissolved and disappeared in a couple days.

I have an invasion of tiny white star fish and I noticed a snail without a shell (best description I have) that has appeared in my tank.

Could either of these be the culprit or is it another issue with my ricordia?

Thanks in advance for any info.

The picture below show the rics now. (one of them is white due to me turning rock over)
I also have a pic of one of the star fish.

I have only seen the snail "thing" once and so I don't have a photo of it.

I will need to test the water again since it's been a week or so.

However, here is what the readings were then:
Salinity - 1.022
PH - 8.1
nitrates - less than .25
temp stays at - 79
I tried to keep them in the same lighting conditions in the new tank.
I have had them for over 2 years.

The biggest change was that about a month ago I moved everything from a 100 gal to a 115.
Everything has been doing extremely well but I did have a tiny cycle for a couple days when my nitrite level just started showing.
It went back to normal after 36 hours.

The only other change was that I put in a new piece of coral and that is when I noticed the slug/snail thing. It must have come in on the coral.
My bad for not dipping it first.

Sometimes its just a matter of placement, I have some of mine in a shade and they've survived a few years, but if I move some out, they immediately shrink and look like they're melting. What lighting are you using? Try to just move them somewhere else in the tank, see if anything improves.

I have 300 watts of PC lighting now. (no halide's)
I have tried to put them in the same type of lighting they were in before.

I'll try putting them some where else for a bit and see what happens.

Thanks!

Just checking this again.

I will test the Alk and see where it is.

I have lost 3/4 of the rics at this point.

Thanks!
