Repair help, skimmer body cracked (pics)

So,

I bought this new in box off a guy from RC, and thought it was a great deal.

Until the elves at FedEx showed up with it, looking like they had smuggled it over the border with a Trebuchet.


Body is cracked where the pump volute screws in.

Should I drill a small pinhole with a 1/64" bit to stop the crack from spreading, and then weld-on / superglue it ?

MARCCCC ! ! ! !

WWMD ?




No seriously, how do I fix this ?

I had a similar prob. And just used christy''s.
Good stuff.

But that sucks. Aren't they liable?

Yes there should be insurance on the package and they should replace it.

Christys works on acrylic ?

I figured weld-on would be a more permanent fix

I used it on the cup. And it worked for me. I'd use Weldon if I had it. But doing what I do, it's readily available. And it's pretty hot. Unlike normal cement/glue.
