Has anyone tried this light? In the research I have been doing regarding spectrum it appears that the red/blue spectrum is more effective in the plant growth world and I am tempter to try this light or build a similar one. Looking to get some experience.
 
That's pretty expensive for a fuge light. It would be interesting to see if it would grow the algae. That may make me take some red out of my current light setup. I still think at that price its better to get the fluorescent bulbs comparing the wattage usage. Let us know how it works.
