purple stuff over taking tank

looks like cyano to me. To fix it, I suggest you start using RODI rather than tap water

Suck out what you can, water change with r/o water, increase flow. A 3 day light black out works good.

They have chemicals that help .... But everything else needs to be one first ...

Also, I remember reading in a earlier post that your tank is in direct sunlight most of the day..... You need to either move the tank or shade the windows to prevent this... It is definitely contributing to all of the algae problems you've been having lately.

At least get RO from the water machines in front of most grocery stores. Use small airline tubing with a rigid tube connected, you can just point and suck all of it up pretty easy with minimal water being removed.

The main cause of cyano (as everyone has already stated) is high nutrients and lack of flow. Also, provide details on your tank size, equipment, etc. Saying you have a strong power head doesn't really clarify
