Pump making noise - Help please?

[Ok, I cleaned the pump that takes water to the skimmer from the downflow area of my refugium. Now it is making a lot of noise! It was cleaned in vinegar / water, and put back on, though it is now facing a different direction than it did before the cleaning. The noise is sort of a loud hum / thrum, like it has to work harder. (I'm trying to remember if this is a Rio or not, but it is a big pump. It is also under one year old, and had it's second or third cleaning.)


What do I do? Turn it, and see if it quits? Do I have to take it apart again? :rock:
I really don't want to mess with it again, but the noise is noticeable, to say the least!]
 
[maybe when you put it in vinegar it may have knocked some deposit loose and it got stuck between the magnet and the small chamber it spins in. I believe the best option is to remove it again (cleaning if neccessary) and get it working to your likeing in a bucket first with pure fresh water then put it back in your setup once it's silent again. JMHO]
