PSA - Supreme Court says states can now collect sales tax on online transactions

I'm sure most people saw that the supreme court shot down their previous rule that a state could only collect sales tax thru companies that had a presence in their state.   They make it sound like this is a big win for Best Buy and others like that but really the big winner is Amazon.So if you are putting off a big online purchase, it might be wise to buy sooner rather than later.  No clue how long this will take to get put into place.
 
Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.   One of the guys at BRS said on another board that the last time they looked at sales tax software it was going to cost them around $250k.   Small businesses can't afford that.  I'm fairly certain that other than mabybe Marine Depot most can't handle that kind of bill. 
 
Yikes, that will drive the price up even more. Might drive more business to LFS because price might be the same.
