Power Compact

My 48 inch Power Compact on/off button can not be pushed in/back out.
It was not big deal. I just left it "on" because I used a timer.

Now it won't work at all.
Can this be fixed?
Or do I have to buy a new Power Compact?

My power switches corroded to the point that they lost function.
I opened the light up and connected the wires behind the switch - thus bypassing the switch and now using the timer as the only way to turn the light on/off.

Most likely this is what you will have to do. Obviously unplug the fixture before operating.
