Is it better to use 45d elbows or the 90d as I know you will get a lot more resistance from the 90's than the 45d or with something this small does it really matter? I am starting my plumbing and I want to hard pipe it but it is a center overflow so I have to move both the drain and return pipes to the edges of the sump some distance(about 15” each way).

If you are talking a full flowing pipe the 90 bend has less head loss. If you are talking a partial flow it really doesn't matter. Use what is cheaper and works best geometrically.

I have both 90's and 45's so I was just trying to figure out what would be the best way and have seen both setups throughout the builds. Guess I will stick with the 90's as it will make it easier.
