Pill Crusher on clearance at Wally Mart

Since I'm gonna try the Interceptor treatment soon (As soon as I get my hands on some, to be exact) I found this very useful, figured I'd share....

I was picking up some prescriptions at the Wal Mart in Rowlett, and while waiting noticed these on their clearance shelf for $2 each - Apex Ultra Pill Crusher:

I picked up 5 of 'em, figured I'd share the bounty, but there were still a few left, and they might be on clearance at other Wal Marts too...

Dunno how these will stand up to crushing Interceptor pills, but for $2 each I figured they'd be worth a shot!

Good to hear you're going to rid your system of these pests.

You will find (whenever you get your hands on some) that these pills are very easy to crush and take minimal effort. I'm sure this device will stand up to the task.

Serk,
I think we still have some interceptor (if we haven't used it on the dog yet) hat I can sell you and I have a milligram scale if you really want to be precise. PM and let me know.

Bingo - Red Bugs - Tegastes acroporanus:

And Doug - Thanks, but I think I've secured a source for some...

Even at $8, that's not too bad. I just use the backside of a soup spoon on a HDPE cutting board. A few rolls back and forth and you have powdered medication.

Can you buy the Interceptor without prescriptions? I have tried a several online pet stores but all of them asked for prescriptions.

Thanks,

Rene

Nope... General procedure seems to be printing out some of the information on it, going to a vet, and groveling...

Either that, or what I'm doing, sweet talking someone else who's already done that...

See here for one person's experience begging their vet for some:

I just told my vet what I needed, and had the documentation with me. She didn't even need to see it and gave me a box. I think it cost $40 for 6 or more tablets. (Large Dog size)

If you can't find any I have PLENTY so if you want to take a long motorcycle ride up here it's free to you...plus I still owe you some frags.
