Overflow box leaking

Setting up an aquaiurm, and doing a leak check in the plumbing - there is a slow leak coming from the overflow box, somwhere along the bottom.Should i leave it alone or just go ahead and reseal ?
Thanks in advance for all the help...

I would say the box itself, i poured water inside the overflow box to check the bulk head - no leak under the stand or around the bulk head - but then noticed later there was water inside the aquarium, So im thinking a leak along the seam of the bottom of the overflow box.

Should i just remove the old silicone from the outside and reseal it? Or is there a better way?

Maybe some water spilled down the bucket into the tank? Did the overflow empty out completely? You can clean it out and apply a new bead around the bottom.

Definately would not continue adding water if anything is leaking. If you were to go without power for a few hours that could drain a good portion of your tank. Dry it off and get some silicone. Best of luck.

Fix it now. It'll only get worse over time.
