NiteOwls 34g + Emily's 34g!!

Well after trying to exit the hobby, I was convinced by some members to stay. A deal with Kar2oons was proposed that I couldnt refuse and so here I am with a 34g Solana and a 34g TBD tank. The solana was originally put together by CaravanShaka then sold to Kar2oons. Joe did a GREAT job on the LED fixture and it is still running on the tank today.

Equipment consists of :
2 Koralia 1 425 Powerheads
Tunze 9002 Skimmer with InTank modified cup
Intank Media Rack running purigen, chaeto and chemipure
Tsunami ATO with Aqualifter Pump
75w Eheim Heater

Livestock:
2 Black with Orange face Oscellaris Clowns
Flame Angelfish
Hawaiian Blonde Naso Tang
Regal Tang
Yellow Candy Hogfish
ORA Blue Mandarin
Fire Shrimp
Rose Anemone
Sherman Rose Anemone

Pictures to follow!!

The 2nd 34g is a DSA Neo Nano tank. The tank is 24x24x14. I got a steal on this tank and have all the parts laying around to set this tank up.

Equipment will be:
2 Koralia powerheads
20H 3 Chamber Sump
DAS BX1 Skimmer
75w Eheim Heater
Quiet One 3000 Return Pump
6 Bulb T5 Lighting

Livestock TBD

Seconded. Looking really good, Emily must be the one caring for it [smilie=wink.gif].

So after a lot of hard work from Aaron and a little bit of work from me we finally have our Neo Nano tank plumed and going. Here are some pictures from when Aaron built the stand for this tank.

We used a bottle of bacteria to help quick start our cycle.

Tonight I tested the water
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 0
Ammonia 0
pH 7.8

We are brainstorming on the best way to hang out light fixture.

Do you want me to change the title to: "Emily's Build Thread"? [smilie=rofl.gif] [smilie=rofl.gif] [smilie=rofl.gif]

Well its really both. I call the new tank mine and the old is his. Can you just add my name so we can both update?

Hi,

Everything looks great, especially that aquascaping. [smilie=clapping.gif] Just note that a nitrate reading of zero is unusual, even when doing something like the Dr. Tim's bacteria starter. Did you use ammonia chloride to kick start the actual cycle? You can always throw in a raw deli to test your biofilter. [smilie=smile.gif]

Cheers,

Fritz 9 Bacteria was used to start it, those readings are about 24hrs after setup. The all numbers are with the API kits so its probably between 0-5... We are going out of town this weekend so I will be testing tomorrow to see where we stand and hoping to see some good progress by monday night! I will post numbers then and we will see if they still seem odd. Thanks for the tip!
