New pics from my new camera..and a question

[Ok I just got a Nikon 4300. Awesome awesome camera. Check this out:

This pic was taken in macro mode outside the glass with no Flash. Keep in mind that I haven't got a tripod yet so the pic is a little shaky.


Ok now for the question. How do some of you guys get the pics that you do? Do you have a underwater case for your camera, or do you take the pic with no flash and outside of the tank?]

Can you take one of your sump with the skimmer in place? (Clean your sump, so I can put it on my site.) ]

[I'm no expert but it doesn't look like shaking was your problem. The center of the picture is very clear and he surrounding area is progressively blurry. I believe that that is a depth of field blurring. Personally I think it looks great.]
