My DIY Skimmer silencer

Good mornign, I though I would share this quick and easy change i made to my Reef Octopus Skimmer. I have my skimmer set where for my tank it skims a great deal of yuk from the tank and the output sits above the water line. because of this you hear alot of noise. The below change took less than 2 minutes.

Can you grab a pic of it installed? I have the same issue but I can't seem to wrap my head around how it is installed!

Looks good. I had to do the same mod on a Reef Octopus skimmer I had to kill the noise. It amazes me that they would sell a product with that type of output when it is blatantly obvious that it is extremely noisy. Of course they sell a very pricey fix for a problem that they let out in the market. Glad you got it worked out!

Oh, and thanks again for helping my dad out. He is more than appreciative of everything you have helped him with!
 
No problem. I love to extend my hand any way I can. Can't wait to see how he rearranges everything.
