My 120 Re-build Progress

Yesterday my new protein skimmer arrived! It was a really tight fit....had to assemble it in the sump and still the body only went in just so. This is as big as I can go with this set up! Next step...220-300 gallon. :).

I use to have an EV-180 that I have been running for years. The new skimmer is a Reef Octopus Extreme XS200. It's HUGE compared to the EV-180. Just need to get a swabbie for it now. Here's a couple pictures of under the tank:

Thought I would post an update. More changes completed and some in progress.

We added a swabbie to the new skimmer upgrade. Plus, we added a Reactor to run GFO & Carbon.

Our latest project is we are working on adding a frag tank to our system. Here is the tank:

And here is the stand we are building. We just finished the waterproof interior and will be painting the outside black.

I'll post once more once we get further with it.

Frag tank is now up and running with homemade overflow and all!

I'll have to Take a couple new pictures of my display tank. We had sps growing into each other we have had so much growth in the last few months. We did some trimming this past weekend and started filling the frag tank. Here's a shot:

I use Red Sea Pro Salt. We have barrels set up in the 3rd car garage (right behind the display tank). That is where our RO unit is with the TDS In-line meter, salt water, fresh water barrels, and auto top off container. It looks like this:

We have pumps in each barrel so that when I syphon off water from the tank I can just pump it directly from the salt water barrel into the sump.

I'm doing a 20% water change every 2 weeks religiously. Plus, we watch that TDS Meter closely and change things as needed.

We have a fuge with Cheato and deep sand bed.

I have dosing pumps and dose BRS calcium & Soda Ash. I also dose Strontium/Molybdenum & Iodide weekly.

Anything else you want to know about maintenance or the set up I missed?

The tank is celebrating it's 2 year re-birthday this month so I thought I would post some updated pictures (as for November 2012):
