looking to buy a new tank stand

My new 120 gal tank from glasscages just arrived, but I ran into an issue. I had planned on reusing my old stand made by Oceanic, but my new tank has an internal overflow. To put in the 1 1/2" bulkhead I would need to cut almost 2" out of the 2"x4" that runs across the back of the stand, thus weakening the stand. I'm thinking that a new stand would be best, as I do not want to hear a loud noise one night when the weakened stand gives out.

I've looked on-line, I have to say some folks think their stuff is made of gold. $700 and up just for a stand.

Does anyone here know of a place in the metro-plex that sells good stands (for a 48" by 24" tank) at a fair price?

thanks
Paul

Marc had a very nice stand made for his 400. It is welded, tubular steel. He advised someone else to go through Frank's Tanks when inquiring about one recently.

I think there are plans for one on reefcentral somewhere, if you're handy you could build one. Home Depot is an aquarist best friend.
