I am in need of a professional Tank mover . I am moving a 180 gal 1000 lb tank . First I would like to know if it is safe moving a tank with a 4 inch sand bed in it about 200 lbs of sand .The tank has 7/8 " glass or should I remove the sand and put new sand in after it arrives?
If anyone know of a Tank Mover please let me know.
Thank You

call some lfs I know Dallas North will move tanks, Neptunes Cove and rift to reef will also

Hello, I'm very new to the club. In fact my account was just activated today. I was reading that someone needs a tank moved. I have a 250 gal and it was moved by a service that did an excellent job. If you want the name of the service and if it's okay to post it, let me know.

Yes, you can post it.

No, you do not want to move a tank with a 4" sand bed. If the tank flexes even a little, it will crack / break. Definitely remove the sand, rinse it out, and refill it.

I moved my 120G with 5-6" sandbed, A) it was way too heavy , the dollies where denting 3/4" plywood
B) Now a month later a seam is failing, and I need to replace/repair my tank

Nuf Said ?
