Lighting Question

I was wondering if anyone has used any of this LED lights for nano tanks?

My brother has a 12 gallon nano cube and his ballast just blew and was thinking about trying out one of these suspended over the tank with a glass cover instead of replacing the ballast. Do ya'll think it might work or that he shouldn't even try it.

I wouldn't use any lighting that isn't intended for aquariums. Use like a pendent light or look up little t5's and stuff like that like get u a 70w viper k2 or something like that I have a 29g nano with 150w mh with 6 white LEDs and 6 blue LEDs it's a 20" sunpod but if it isn't built or meant for aquariums to be safe I wouldn't use it

It shows to be 3000K so the color is going to be very yellow and your live stock may not do very well. If he wants to try something like this I would check out the one Marine Depot sells.

Yeah I think he's going to end up getting a Cree LED instead or one of technosteve's retrokits. Thanks for ya'lls input
