what is everyones thoughts on cyano and led lighting? ive had nothing but bad luck with led's and cyano..... replace the leds with t5's and the cyano goes away.... i used to have a metal halide and never had cyano issues.... whats everyones thoughts?

I've had cyano with PC and LED. Also had no cyano with the same lights when I'm up on my maintenance. Having gone years with LED'- (Rapid LED Aurora puck) and no cyano I'm disinclined to blame the lights in my case.

Try running the Reds really low, like around 10-13%
Reds really contribute to nuisance algae outbreaks IMO. Greens can also contribute to your problem somewhat. Run those around 25-30% max. Crank the blues and whites up to your liking.

I am wondering, since I have seen cyano regularly in my system, that if it might also be pH related. Since it has cooled down, I've had windows open more, so pH has been higher, and no cyano for quite a spell.
